I like to walk through Lincoln Woods in the early morning. My mind is fresh, and the sun is pushing it’s light through the leaves from the East. The light casts long shadows and silhouette the trunks in high contrast. When I squint my eyes it almost seems like the shadows are standing up with the glimmering, green light of spring. There is a neutral quality to that time and place, a quality in the light and the objects that obscure, that ask the viewer what they feel. What will the light reveal? What will the shadows conceal?
